Well, I've finally decided (or have run out of time deliberating) on my design for my pins for the pin swap this year! Because I'm at home this afternoon, I've decided to just cut these puppies out by hand. I probably could have waited until tomorrow when I teach, and have access to a scroll saw. Oh well, I'm going to pretend I'm zen, and force myself to get it done! Stay tuned for these lovelies...
Studio Fridays
While I love my teaching job(s), I love my Fridays in my home studio. Today I'm trying to sort through some pairings with champleve enamel, some basic sifted enamel over copper, and a die-formed piece of copper.
Like so many other days, I take photos in progress of pairings, so that I can look back and see what works better than others. This was one of the first things Sondra Sherman told me to do in grad school, and it's stuck with me as a practice in my work.
